Cookies

Our websites use so-called "cookies". Cookies are small text files and do not cause any damage to your device. They are stored either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your device. Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit to our website. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or an automatic solution is carried out by your web browser.

In some cases, third-party cookies may also be stored on your device when you enter our site (third-party cookies). These enable us or you to use certain services of the third-party company (e.g. cookies for processing payment services).

Cookies have different functions. Many cookies are technically necessary because certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies are used to evaluate user behaviour.

Cookies that are necessary to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions desired by you (e.g. shopping cart function) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. If a corresponding consent has been requested (e.g. consent to the storage of cookies), the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (a) DSGVO; consent can be revoked at any time.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when you close the browser. If cookies are disabled, the functionality of this website may be limited.

If cookies are used by third-party companies or for analysis purposes, we will inform you separately about this within the framework of this privacy policy and, if necessary, ask for consent.

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources.

This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of its website – for this purpose, the server log files must be recorded.

Contact

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your information from the request form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the request and in the event of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of this data is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) DSGVO if your request is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO) or on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO), if this has been requested.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to its storage or the purpose for which the data is stored no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

Enquiry by e-mail or phone

If you contact us by e-mail or telephone, your enquiry, including all personal data resulting from it (name, enquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of this data is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) DSGVO if your request is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO) and/or on our legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO), as we have a legitimate interest in the effective processing of the inquiries addressed to us.

The data you send to us via contact requests will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to its storage or the purpose for which it was stored no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

4. eCommerce and payment providers

We work with the PayPal payment system on our website. PayPal is an online payment service with which you have concluded a direct contract outside of our website. The processing of payment data takes place in the PayPal system and not on our website. No internal data from PayPal is stored on our website. PayPal is headquartered in the USA.

We attach great importance to processing your data within the EU. However, it may happen that we use service providers who process data outside the EU ("third countries") as part of the administration, development and operation of IT systems as well as marketing and customer communication. When transferring data to countries outside the EU, it should be noted that the high European level of data protection cannot necessarily be guaranteed there. For example, there is the risk that this data may be processed by third country authorities without similarly effective remedies or enforceable all data subject rights.

If we use service providers in third countries, we take additional measures in accordance with Art. 44 et seq. DSGVO to ensure a sufficient level of data protection when transferring personal data and thus ensure that the transfer is generally permissible and that the special requirements for a transfer to a third country are met (e.g. by concluding EU standard contracts and additional guarantees, additional technical and organizational measures, such as encryption or anonymization).

If any data transmission is based on your consent, such as the use of PayPal, the submission of the declaration is voluntary. This then also includes your consent in accordance with Art. 49 (1) (a) DSGVO to data processing outside the EEA, e.g. in the USA.

An excerpt from PayPal's privacy policy of 02.01.2025

"As a financial services provider, PayPal is required by law to retain information related to the provision of financial services to our customers for a certain period of time during which the data may not be deleted. Your data can be automatically deleted once the retention period has ended and there is no other legal reason to keep it longer.

We retain information to comply with the law, prevent fraud, collect fees due, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with investigations, enforce a website's terms of use, protect PayPal from legal risks, and take other actions that may be necessary in the country or regions in which we conduct our business. are permissible by law."

Processing of data (customer and contract data)

We collect, process and use personal data only insofar as they are necessary for the establishment, content design or change of the legal relationship (inventory data). This is done on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) DSGVO, which permits the processing of data for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures. We collect, process and use personal data about the use of this website (usage data) only to the extent necessary to enable the user to use the service or to bill for it.

The customer data collected will be deleted after completion of the order or termination of the business relationship. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
